Walking
along the bank of the creek, we come back to Klapka utca (Klapka
Street). On Petőfi tér (Petőfi Square) we can find the Eger Thermal
Bath. The seven pools of the cold and hot water open-air swimming pool
welcome visitors. In 1976 Eger was declared a curative place with
national significance. Every day several thousand cubic meters of
water spring up from the natural springs.

Next to the thermal bath we
can find the Turkish Bath (opening hours for visitors who are not
patients with referrals: all year round: Monday through Friday: 10:00
- 12:00). The water of the bath has a favourable effect on diseases of
the locomotor system, gynaecological complaints, and spinal
diseases.
If we walk a bit further on, on Frank Tivadar utca we
will find the indoor swimming pool named after Bitskey Aladár, Olympic
champion, designed by Makovecz Imre.
