As the Roman town 'Aquincum', that had been lying in the territory of the hotel in the 1st and 2nd century A.D., was the most important military settlement of the Pannon province, one can find many remains from that period in the district. The nearby amphiteatrum and the ruins of the one-time city can be found in the Aquincum museum, not far from the hotel.
